There are two types of singles: those that love every minute of their life and those that are desperate to meet someone.

Have you ever encountered a friend who just seemed to whine about his or her single status constantly? They complained about the lack of quality people out there, spent every minute of their time at home and bored, and begged you for set ups.

Conversely, how about those singles that seemed to have the most glamorous life? They traveled, were always the first to see the hottest concert, and never seemed to be home for more than a minute or two.
Which one of these seems more attractive? Which one do you eventually think will end up meeting someone fabulous?

If you’re one of those folks who lament your single status, take a look at the following points because it’s time to change your attitude!

You’re Not Alone
It may seem like all your friends are married or otherwise attached, but in actuality there are many people out there just like you. Take heart in knowing that no matter how bored and lonely things sometimes are there is someone who shares your pain and knows exactly what you’re going through. You may not meet them, but they’re out there and they get it.

Celebration fact: You can take comfort in the fact that you’re not some freak who just can’t meet someone great. For lots of people, it takes time to meet the right person for them.

You Are the Envy of Your Friends
Whether your married friends tell you or not, they sometimes wish they were you. After all, you get to meet new people and when one of them ticks you off, you can tell them goodbye. You can have the apartment all to yourself and do whatever it is you want without someone to judge you or demand your time. These are things that married folks only wish they could return to.

Celebration fact: Enjoy knowing how others view your single life because it will change your perspective. You’ll never feel like your life is somehow less because you’re not married.

Benefits of New Love
Remember those first few dates with someone great? Wondering about the first time you kiss. Thinking about holding hands and finding out about their childhood. The times they try and woo you by doing something so incredibly sweet.

Celebration fact: These are the fun and thrilling parts about dating and as a single you get to experience them again and again.

Activities Abound
When you’re single you get to learn a new language, travel, attend restaurant openings, see the latest movie. When you’re married you’re on a budget and have to save for houses and kids and family obligations. Let’s face it, when you’re single you have the ability to do any darn thing you please. Why sit at home and pout? Instead, fill up your life with as many activities as you can handle.

Celebration fact: Your single moments may be the only point in time (in your entire life) when you can engage in some of your lifelong dreams. Don’t waste them!
